I took this idea and this idea and tweeked a little and made this wreath. I used a pizza box and cut out the square from then covered it with magazine pages as a base. I spray painted it black but I didn't like how the black showed through. So the color variation in the magazine pages was better as a background. Then over MANY nights I made these magazine page rolled up things. It took FOREVER... But I love the way it turned out!
Bermuda Grass is slowly taking over our yard and it sends out these crazy long shoots. They are creeping out even onto our driveway. I pulled on one and it uprooted really easy. I kept walking around and pulling up long stands of this grass. Soon I had a whole hand full. Then I remembered Nester's "You made a wreath out of WHAT?" and thought I bet I can make a wreath out of this grass... so I did.
